Classes start on time – our professional instructors have a lot to get through, and other students will be keen to get stuck in. Make sure you arrive at the Ski Dubai mall venue well ahead of your start time, to save yourself the stress!

Know Your Learning Level

Your ski or snowboarding passport has a handy chart to help you work out your level of ability, but don’t under- or over-estimate your skills! Work out which level you’re at before you choose an appropriate lesson, but remember…

Don’t be disappointed if progress is slow – we all learn at different speeds, so there’s no need to feel downhearted if others in your class seem to be doing so much better. The trick to mastering any sport or skill is to learn well and learn at your own pace, so take your time with your Ski Dubai lessons.

Consider one-to-one sessions – these will help you progress faster if you’re really worried about falling behind. Skiing and snowboarding should be among the most fun things to do in Dubai, so if slow progress is getting you down then think about some individual coaching from one of our skilled instructors.

Children tend to learn faster than adults and normally pass all the levels without any trouble. However, if you have a child who seems to be learning at a slower pace, our instructors will do their best to make sure they catch up with the rest of the team. If they’re worried about being left behind, then we recommend a private lesson to give them more confidence and speed up their learning.

Choose the right equipment

Our Ski Dubai instructors will help you select the right gear for your ski or snowboarding lesson when you book with us. All equipment hire is included in the package you’ve selected, but we also sell ski and snowboarding gear at our retail shop. Remember, always turn the equipment over and check for any scratches or other damage, and see that the edges are good and sharp for a better grip. If in doubt, ask a friendly team member for more advice on the best skis or boards to choose for your age and ability.
